About Kate

I am a documentary photographer based in New York city.

Focusing on the relationship between humans and their environment, my work explores community and cultural heritage, ritual and ceremony, women's lives and the human experience. 

I was raised in Sun Valley, Idaho, and have lived in India, Southeast Asia, South Africa and France.  I graduated from the University of Pennslyvania with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Photography. 

I am currently enrolled in the Documentary and Visual Journalism program at ICP.
